Samantha Danielle is a customization artist based in Kansas City. She loves fine detail work, recreating different styles of art and discovering what other ordinary objects she can paint on.
Samantha grew up with a strong fascination for recreating artistically what she saw around her. Growing up on a farm, she loved drawing horses and would spend hours looking through horse books trying to copy the pictures with pencil on paper.
Her interest in custom artwork continued to grow when in high school she was asked by a family member to paint something on a rock. The next thing she knew, people were asking her to paint on all sorts of things, from saws, to kitchen aid mixers, to cookie jars, to t-shirts, and shoes. Her first large scale order was hand-painting 50 rocks customized with her dad’s company logo.
With an interest in all things creative, she studied music in college, but after graduation found a job doing more custom painting for a luxury design house in downtown Los Angeles called DTLAcustom. There she worked for over 7 years and painted even more fun things ranging from designer handbags, to designer shoes, to suitcases, to leather jackets, to glass mirrors and even champagne bottles.
Samantha has painted many different styles of artwork in her customization work, and loves exploring and learning new styles. When it comes to her own voice as an artist, she is greatly inspired by her love of travel and other cultures as well as the natural beauty found in nature. She believes the process of making art is therapeutic and hopes to have her own studio one day where she can teach people the joy of making art in connection with the natural world.
